With its tree-lined canals, gabled houses and world famous museums, Amsterdam is a delightful first call before Magellan heads north. From Kirkwall, explore the scenic Orkney Islands, featuring rugged and forbidding landscapes and Stone Age sites before sailing to Portree on the beautiful Island of Skye. Setting for Bonnie Prince Charlie’s last days in Scotland, Skye is the site of Dunvegan Castle and the Museum of Island Life - a reminder of Skye’s traditional crofting way of life. The Isle of Mull is next where at picturesque Tobermory a pretty frontage of hotels, shops and houses wrap around the bay.

The pace speeds up now with visits to the famous bustling streets of Dublin and Holyhead offers a chance to visit Snowdonia and Caernarfon Castle. Then Astoria drops anchor off charming St. Mary’s in the stunning Isles of Scilly, with a popular tour option to Tresco’s renowned Abbey Gardens. St. Peter Port on Guernsey in the beloved Channel Islands has a captivating blend of Georgian, Regency and Parisian-style houses set in a tumble of terraces. And finally, before sailing back to Tilbury, enjoy the picturesque Normandy port of Honfleur with its charming old harbour and jumble of narrow cobbled streets.
