The Dining Experience

It is guaranteed that nothing whets the appetite like sea air. You’ll, therefore, have even more reason to anticipate the feast of delights freshly prepared by expert chefs and served by attentive restaurant staff. Opt for a full American breakfast, savour a leisurely lunch and enjoy a sumptuous five-course dinner each and every day of your cruise.

Our carefully constructed menus present a blend of traditional cuisine and international specialities that will make your mouth water. For many of our guests, dining in the ship’s elegant Olissipo Restaurant is the high point of the day. Starters followed by delicious soups and light salads give way to delicious main courses ranging from appetising seafood and Italian pasta to mouth-watering steaks and classic favourites. Finish with a tempting dessert or cheese plate, coffee or tea. Tasty vegetarian meals and healthy options are featured on every menu. And, if you, or a member of your party, have a particular dietary requirement, then please let us know in advance so that we can meet your requirements.

As a casual alternative to the Olissipo Restaurant, enjoy a more relaxed buffet-style meal in the Lotus Buffet served up with a complimentary ocean view! Wherever and whatever you choose to eat, CMV house wine and beer is included at lunch and dinner. Alternatively, you can accompany your meal with a selection from the ship’s extensive wine list.

Breakfasts and lunches are served in the restaurant on a flexible basis. Check the onboard Daily Programme for timings and then come when you choose. For dinner in the evening, we also operate a flexible arrangement with service between 17.30 and 20.30, except for gala nights when there will be one sitting for all guests, usually at 19.30.

Add in the afternoon teas, late night snacks and traditional shipboard occasions such as the Captain’s Gala Dinners, and the pleasures of the table will surely tempt you from the moment you sit down to dinner on your first night aboard until that final breakfast as you prepare to disembark.


Speciality dining

The Steakhouse Grill, an intimate specialty restaurant, offers a further dining option. Perfect for that special occasion or just to treat yourself; and why not, you’re on vacation! There is a supplementary charge for dining in The Grill of $39 per person.


The ultimate dining experience

We are delighted to offer Astoria guests The Chef’s Table, an exclusive VIP multi-course dining experience, specially created and hosted by the Executive Chef.

Enjoy a private sparkling wine cocktail and canapés reception, a tour of the galley in operational mode and a splendid 9-course menu accompanied with specially selected wines. The Executive Chef remains with the guests throughout the meal, describing the ingredients and techniques used to produce each of the courses. The Chef's Table experience can be reserved on board at an additional charge of $99 per person.


CMV Additions packages

Our fares include house wine and beer with lunch and dinner, service charges and gratuities. However, you may choose to upgrade to our CMV Additions - Premium or VIP packages that include all-inclusive drinks and discounts at the Steakhouse Grill. Savings are available on these packages when booked and paid for before your cruise, so we highly recommend that you take advantage of these.
